The property was nice but the staff was the problem the concierge was basically non existent they tell you to text or call so that they can arrange dinner reservations or anything else you need but they never responded at all and we had to go find a concierge to book our dinners also we called for room service the line is always busy and when someone does answer they put you on hold and then the line hangs up then at checkout we had issues with the checkout and there is no one to help like a supervisor or manager just one person who cannot change anything . Very rude and threatened to not allow us to leave without paying the total amount even though there were issues with the bill and we were told just pay now then they will figure it out later not the best situation to be in overall I will never return to this resort again

Everything was excellent except for the food hours they were closed really early and the hotel comes with jet ski and catamaran but you only need to book it like a month in ahead to be able to have fun of all those amenities that the hotel has

Pool was great, right next to the Casita room. Beach was nice and quiet but NOT able to swim in as it’s very rocky. Not a big deal for us but something that should be pointed out. Staff was friendly, some upselling. Food was alright.

Great place to stay! Honestly a little bigger than I first thought. A lot of the dinner restaurants are almost a mile walk from El Dorado Royale to El Dorado Royale Casitas (sister resort up the coast). But there are shuttle options if you do not want to walk.

The scenic walk throughout the property was breath taking. We visited several pools and had a great time at all of them. The night life was very entertaining and had something for everyone from live entertainment to karaoke. Dinner reservations were a bit hard for a party of 8, but we made the best of it.

The rooms are nice and the staff friendly. The property is lovely but hard to navigate. The map is poor. Luckily you can get a golf cart to take you anywhere. Its hard to find activities at the resort. The personal concierge is only interested in getting you in to the timeshare high pressure sales pitch. The local beach is not inviting for swimming due to the concrete structures. The information about the facility does not adequately describe the fact that the only way to get to a beach where you actually want to swim requires a next day reservation. Its fun to be able to have a golf cart bring you to one of the many restaurants. The food is definitely acceptable but not gourmet.

We had a wonderful Spring Break. My husband and I stayed 5 nights/6 Days in the Adult Resort. Our Room was a 7/10 for Clean. We loved the Swim up pool and beach view and Loved our Non-Stop Pool Service from KARMIE. She was the BEST. Checked on me everyday, multiple times and her service and kindness was a 10! Thank you Karmie! We loved our Concierge SERGIO. He was personable, professional and helped us make dinner reservations, and set up our massages. Thanks SERGIO, your Service and attitude is heartwarming. We also loved the outdoor Breakfast Restaurant La Isla. The food was 5 Star and the level of service we received from Guillermo was top notch! we felt so special and really appreciated him! He made our last days there so memorable!! ..The food at this resort is 5 Star* . The only thing downside I would say is the entertainment, there is none. There is only some once a week at the family resort Generations. We did have a great experience with VICTOR at the Sling Bar, he was great to us! One of the only indoor bars and on the Kids side. Also- It says FREE CATAMARAN/SNORKLING, we set it up and arrived at the next resort and it was canceled. They gave us a Beach Day instead. Felt that was a Bait and switch. Be firm with them out that. The food is Amazing and a Great Resort to Walk and Relax by the Pool. Cannot swim in the Ocean at this resort.FYI

The resort itself was average. the staff was very friendly and welcoming, food was good with many restaurants to choose from. All in all I wish I would have had a nicer room for the price I paid because mine was a little bit run down. The other couple we were with had a newly renovated room with more amenities for the same price.

Very large property and beautiful grounds. The property is overall pretty well maintained but this is an older resort. The swim up pool rooms were nice and we enjoyed swimming from the room to the larger pools and bars. Plenty of restaurant options but overall the food was 50/50 for us. Some items were pretty good and others were not. Also compared to some other resorts we've stayed at the restaurant staff was a little slower. Overall all resort staff was friendly and helpful. One thing that we thought was missing was a quicker food option during lunch; all of the lunch options we tried were sit down restaurants and sometimes there was a wait. Really all we were looking for was a quick bite so sometimes that made it challenging. Overall a good resort for the money spent; some of the food could be improved upon but the drinks, rooms, staff, and over all property was nice!

Upon coming to the hotel, I was told that they did not recognize Expedia as my company I went through for my reservation. Multiple conversations were had and it never changed. There was no room upgrade. There was no hundred dollar. Credit toward the spa. Despite telling me the whole time that I had no connection to Expedia for my reservation at the very end when I was checking out, I had an employee from the resort say to me that I booked with Expedia when he was attempting to sell me one of their promotions to come back back and stay.

BE CAREFUL. This property will hand you a bill for anything and everything you didn’t agree to before allowing you to leave. Anything you did agree to will be doubled. Then you will be held hostage from your transportation to the airport until you pay whatever they are asking for. Of the last 10 resorts I’ve been to in Mexico the past 10 years this was by far the absolute worst. I wholeheartedly do not recommend. They are thieves.

This is not a 5 star hotel. You can not swim in the sea at this hotel However, the staff is friendly, the food is good and they have many swimming pools. Rooms are outdated but clean and dark. Plenty of restaurants to choose from and good drinks everywhere!
