"Old World Charm. The cottage style single rooms were gorgeous. Staff were so friendly and helpful. It was the hottest few days of the year but they remained cool and calm. The food was excellent. Couldn't recommend it enough. Looking forward to being able to go back again."

The beach house was perfectly clean and their breakfast was a "Proper English Breakfast." The Seaside path was within walking distance and the view was spectacular. "Last-minute booking for Goodwood Festival of Speed and luckily we found a room here. It was better than I expected from photo, a spacious room with a 4-poster bed, the bathroom had a bath and a walk-in shower. Although no air-con, there was a large fan and we slept well. My husband enjoyed the full breakfast with good quality bacon, eggs and sausage; he doesn't eat tomatoes, so declined the heritage ones offered. "Location is great. 10 min walk to train. Says AC but it was still very hot and couldn't adjust the temp lower. Window sealed shut. Got wheelchair accessibke room not sure why. Staff at hotel not the best either. Would not go back."

"The attic rooms, which are expensive, are not fit for purpose in hot weather. No air-con, of course, but you can barely open the windows. The sun blasts on to the roof just above and creates an oven! The provided fan was little help. Very bad night's sleep. The unhelpful receptionist told me that the hot room was due to the heat. I asked if we could swap rooms, but he said the hotel was fully booked, despite a portable sign outside saying 'Rooms available tonight'. Breakfast was very poor....

"An excellent breakfast, but the croissants appeared to be taken out of a freezer and not cooked! The staff thought that was how they should be put out to eat.. Quite a mystery... Otherwise everything else was fine and we will stay again."

"Angel Inn is close to the centre of Petworth, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and spacious, the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom had a large modern bath and separate shower and everything was very clean. We appreciated the teapot in the room and selection of teas, also the complimentary flapjack. We ate in the restaurant area of the inn and had an excellent meal. "

The room had a huge en-suite bathroom which was finished to a very high standard and was very nice.
