Emails prior to arrival from hotel as expected from previous stays never received (eg. % off drinks and / or food in bars and restaurant - fyi, we ALWAYS purchased the vouchers). When I queried why no emails were sent at front desk during check-in, two different members of staff tried to explain that it was to do with data protection laws (no, made no sense then or now) and I never got a coherent, logical answer despite several attempts at...

"The hotel is very centrally located and is right next to the Charing Cross train station, which makes it very convenient to get around London. Plus there are always cabs waiting in the lot in front. There is a food market and pharmacy in that complex, as well as many restaurants and stores very close by. The hotel itself has a wonderful restaurant and cocktail bar. The rooms are very convenient with amenities, fitness center. The staff is very helpful and very nice. We will definitely stay...

"Excellent location 1/2 block from Trafalgar Square. Walk to Westminster Abbey, Chinatown. Lots of restaurants, pubs nearby. Something happening in Trafalgar Square every weekend so be prepared for crowds. Hotel rooms are modern, very clean and quiet!"

"The hotel has a modern, edgy design and a great location near Chinatown. The room was a little small, but overall comfortable. However, there was a blood stain on the bedsheet, which was unpleasant, and the sound insulation was poor — I could clearly hear the people next door showering for nearly an hour. There were cobwebs around the air vent, since my room was a corner room at the end of the hallway, it made me feel like nobody had stayed this room for a while."

Then the elevators were stalling and not working off and on… like 3 different occasions. The most notable time, the staff actually became annoyed at a group of us when we all tried to take the stairs after waiting upstairs for 5 minutes, saying that we were supposed to have security escort us down the stairwell?
