"Recently stayed four nights in a canal view room, The headboard was peeling off looked like I was staying in the slums, There was dirt/dust buildup between armoire and the wall (visible with light). The bathroom shower walls had soap scum stains like had not been cleaned. Sink countertop was chopped off and wood under exposed. Pillows were super flat. Breakfast and kitchen staff was good along with options for a quick bite and coffee. Front desk staff was excellent, super helpful and...

"The room was clean and serviced daily. A small buffet breakfast was perfect and although tea/coffee was not provided in the rooms it was available downstairs all day.
What made our stay particularly enjoyable was the staff. Everyone of them were so friendly and were able to offer help and advice about anything. It felt as if they really cared that we enjoyed our stay in this incredible city."

"The hotel was ok. A little surprise how small the bar/terrace was. You could only get about 20 people comfortably, which would be ok, if they had other areas that you could just relax and have a drink in."

"We loved our room. Comfortable bed. Numerous outlets, great little shower. We spent an evening on the rooftop which was lovely. Enjoyed the complimentary bottle of Spumante. Beware of the steep stairs. Would give this 10 stars if I could."

"Our stay at this bed and breakfast was absolutely wonderful. Paolo and his wife provided world-class service from beginning to end. They were incredibly attentive, kind, and helpful. They always answered my phone calls and texts quickly and took the time to answer every question I had.
The room was perfect—beautifully decorated with a lovely European style, extremely clean, comfortable, and equipped with everything you could possibly need and more.

"Our stay at San Polo was spectacular! The apartment was beautiful, tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable. It really felt like a home away from home.
Our host was wonderful and went out of her way to help us with our check-in, even though we arrived much later than expected. We had originally planned to arrive around 11 PM, but ended up getting there at 12:30 AM, and she was incredibly kind and accommodating.
We were traveling as a family with my wife and our two...

"It is expensive to stay in Venice. This property wasn’t perfect but we did save some money here. No elevator and we had many stairs to climb up to our room. Thankfully, the staff took our bags up and then down at the end of our stay. The beds were comfortable. If you can avoid it, don’t open the windows. Even one mosquito in your room will give you many bites. You can set the heater to blow cool air if the air conditioning has been shut off for the season. If you are a light sleeper, bring...
