"The re-model is very nice. Rooms are a little dark but that is the vibe. Bed was comfortable. State St side was a bit noisy but we were warned! Loved the bath products and the kettle/coffee set up were a nice touch. Front desk staff was very helpful. "

"We selected the Sandpiper based on reviews, location to the airport & price. Check-in was easy and there was someone there to take our keys when we checked out at 3:30 am! The room was clean & comfortable. The mattress was comfortable. Appreciated the small round table with two chairs and the upholstered chair to relax. TV was easy to use. Liked being able to park right in front of our downstairs room to unload & load our suitcases. Felt safe. Is conveniently located to multiple restaurants (we ate at Harry’s Plaza Cafe) and a shopping mall with Chaucer’s Book Store and a grocery store. Three other perks are a pool, an elevator and included breakfast. If we need another Santa Barbara hotel, we would definitely stay here again. "

"Staff was attentive when I noticed my refrigerator was not working. Andrew responded quickly and was very courteous. Problem was fixed quickly. Thanks Andrew. The room was very tastefully decorated. The robes were plush and the and they even had a steamer to dewrinkle your clothes. I enjoyed eating my chicken tender appetizer from the bar as I sat in their patio watching a Dodger game. I would suggest you request a room towards the back away from the traffic from the noise from the Main Street. I would definitely come back."
