"This was the only hotel that we stayed in in Japan that didnโ€™t have a clean air humidifier in the room. I woke up so stuffy in the middle of every night. Self check-in wasnโ€™t smooth and unnecessary. There was plenty of staff standing around, why couldnโ€™t they just welcome me and check me in. Lobby had no a/c. Hotel itself and rooms smelt of mildew. Room was big enough, to Japanese standards. Location was ok. On a quiet street close to things but the area is weird. Shinjuku alone is weird, we preferred Shibuya. Toiletries in room were packets not bottles. Appreciated the full size mirror."
