I travel to the Detroit area on business multiple times a year. I don't know how I never had this place come up on my list before. It will definitely be a "go-to" for me in the future. BIG place. Really much larger than most Best Westerns. A few miles out -- but close enough to downtown to be reasonable for daily...

"The shuttle service to and from the airport was awful. Shuttles were constantly late, drivers were pushy for tips and rude to/about passengers, and drove unsafely. Breakfast was not particularly good, and it is obvious the property has seen better days/is not being well maintained."

"I checked I to a dirty room. They had no other room available. They refused to clean the current room. Used razor, food on floor, no counters wiped, pair of socks on table. Manager was unavailable and we needed a place to rest. Went to the pool and was told there were towels in the pool area. There went any clean according to front desk because house keeping didn't have time to wash them. As we were swimming in pool another person had stool stuck to them that was not theirs. Next morning woke up...

"We stayed at this hotel yesterday and overall had a mixed experience. The staff member Richard was very nice and helpful, and we really appreciated his customer service. He made check-in and any interactions we had pleasant. However, there were a few issues during our stay. The pool was very small and during our visit it was overcrowded with teenagers who were loud, screaming, and diving, which made it uncomfortable and stressful to use. Another concern was the room. "Close to the airport. Make sure you speak with the front desk about shuttle set up to the airport. If you fly into Detroit and go wait for your shuttle to arrive-It won’t. You need to have that set up with the front desk. Don’t try to do it when you arrive. It won’t happen. Do it in advance and be aware the numbers to the front desk are difficult to locate. I finally had to skip the shuttle and use Uber. Now I know. Call way ahead."
