"The front desk staff was amazing! The rest of the staff was not. Their customer service was terrible, they weren’t helpful with information about THEIR OWN hotel and amenities. The thermostat also suddenly stopped working so we couldn’t control the air. The speakeasy was so overrun with non-hotel guests that we couldn’t get in after paying almost $400 for one night. Kinda defeats the purpose of an onsite bar/speakeasy."

"Let’s start with a great location on Rhode Island at 14th, then add in a friendly, responsive staff, combine with comfy beds and great baths and you have a great hotel. This is our new go to property in DC."

"If you need a DC hotel to keep you in the middle of everything BUT keep you relaxed and comfortable with a feeling of being taken away, this is it! Noon checkout was fabulous. Had complimentary coffee in the garden area with the little fountains and then breakfast in the historic breakfast room. Breath of air before three days of conference time and running around the Capitol."

"It’s a fine hotel with a couple of small-ish items to address: 1) shower doors make it impossible to take a shower without getting water all over the floor of the toilet / shower room; 2) glass door separating toilet / shower room clangs on the metal stopper every time it opens. Use bigger shower doors and put padding on the door bracket. Simple to fix. We were in a jr suite for three nights."

"Really outdated facility and poor room conditions. Not recommended for just a business day night : must wait I until 3pm to get the room and must leave before 11 (you pay for less than a day then …) Have asked high floor room and get the lowest floor possible as well … Nevermind … Location is great though. No breakfast available."

"The hotel is very nice. Each room has a very nice kitchen, full of plates, cups, pans, everything needed to cook if that is what you want to do. There is a Wawa around the corner to buy anything you need like water, snacks or frozen food to heat up in the microwave. There are also many restaurants around the hotel. It is close to the Metro and buses to easily get to the Smithsonian Museums and other attractions. They offer free premium coffee and popcorn all day. They also offer a wine hour...
