"The staff were all very good but at times a little pushed to see to everything. Our room was roomy but not particularly clean, cobwebs on windows, dirt and dusty skirting and all areas upon high had a good layer of dust. One bulb out at bedside and marks on wall and skirting that could be wiped off. Bed linen and towels were clean and soft. Shower and sink clean but toilet was not!!! Passage way to and from dining room smelt of cooking grease all the time that would suggest extractor filters...

"We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Chestnut Tree. Lisa, the host was the main reason, she is a great communicator which is important when booking. She was so very helpful with local information and incredibly kind. Our room was beautiful and the amenities in the bathroom delightful. The area is beautiful but with only one night, we didn’t get the change to do much exploring. Next time. Thank you Lisa for a wonderful stay."

"Window- less room with queen bed. Tidy but not clean. One of my towels still had a previous lodger’s luggage sticker stuck to it. The room gave me a headache due to dust (would not recommend to other asthma patients like me). The bathroom situation didn’t bother me so much- you just need to think of it as having the toilet and the sink in your shower. Using the handheld shower head may have helped. If you keep your room’s fan/ AC running and the bathroom door open during the night, the shower...
