"For the cost this is an excellent motel. At £35/night for a single room it is a third of the cost of other budget hotels in this area. Ok so its not the Ritz but its also priced realisticallyfor what it offers. "

"Hotel was beautifully clean, staff were very helpful Got down to breakfast just gone 10, was told no more hot food would be coming from the kitchen, there was no beans or mushrooms left, for many people that’s wouldn’t of been a problem but as I don’t eat flesh there really wasn’t a great deal more to eat, warmish scrambled egg on toast apart from that was a great stay, oh and the hotel is freezing so take a small heater or hot water bottle "

"This hotel is on a great location, many shops and places to eat closeby and opposite the castle, our room looked into the castle. Decor is a bit dated now, room was spacious. "

"This hotel far exceeded our expectations. The staff were the kindest, most conscientious, considerate, cheerful people we’ve ever seen in a hotel and they seemed to take great pride in their work. "Caroline at the front desk was so lovely & cheerful ! She overheard we were coming to look at Cliveden for our wedding venue & wanted us to feel the experience & excitement so very generously upgraded us! All staff very welcoming - The facilities 10/10 especially the spa ! "

"Great room in the old cells. Staff were very good. We dropped our case in the morning and it was in our room when we returned to check in. Only quibble, restaurant area for breakfast isn't great. Cooked breakfast should come with toast rather than having to make your own. "
