The hotel is really cute and clean and the staff are super friendly and helpful! Had to book last minute because the hotel I originally booked was terrible they were there to check me in at 8pm less than an hour after I booked and it was an incredibly easy check in. They have a hotel dog that is incredibly sweet and loves attention but will leave you alone if you don’t.

Celebrated our baby moon at Sivana. Staff were very kind and sweet and we enjoyed seeing the dog & cats daily. This hotel is more rustic than others nearby. Water turned off one day for a few hours, AC is low and available only at night, and our room frequently got bugs. However, we are in the jungle and we appreciated how quiet and peaceful it was. We also love when breakfast is included.

This hotel has salty water in the bathroom and shower. Made it very uncomfortable to shower and brush teeth. Rooms are super small. Staff is nice and helpful. Beach is small but cozy. Our room was facing the main road and we could hear everything. There is pharmacy right across from this hotel. For the price they charge per night, they should have fresh water in the bathroom. They do have convenient parking and few places to eat very close by.

Not for everyone

Lovely rustic place. Beds are comfortable and rue beach is lovely. I noticed it was o e of few places that cleaned up their beach section daily. If you're only lookong for a place to sleep this is a good option, but if what to vacation and veg at the hotel, go somewhere else. I would not recommend this place for everyone. I loved it, but the hydro and water is shotty. One morning there was no water, we had to abide by "if its yellow let it mellow, if its brown flush it down", there was no hot water the first night but no issues the other nights. This is the quiet section of the hotel zone and no restaurant at the hotel. But some good food near by. Do be aware there is no fresh water at the hotel. If fact all fresh water must be trucked into the hotel zone. 1l of chlorinated water is provided daily with no meams to keep it cold.

Sivana was a little gem in Tulum. Our room felt like our own sanctuary in our tree house and the staff was always attentive and helpful. Sivana gave us exactly what we needed and is an a great location. The breakfast was simple but got the job done and we loved having our waterfront coffee. Would return!

Stayed at Sivana for the weekend and I couldn’t be happier with my choice.. it’s a perfect little quiet hotel away from the noise of Tulum’s night life.. surrounded by nature, cozy and intimate it’s the perfect place for a couple’s getaway. We stayed in the ocean front room and were serenaded by the sound of the waves every night.and even though they have a small staff they are all very attentive, they even helped me decorate the room for my wife’s birthday and got her a cake. So if you’re looking for a place to disconnect from the noise and just relax Sivana is a great choice!

Charming Thatched Roof Cabins

Positives: We loved the grounds. There were palm and banana trees, hibiscus, bougainvillea and other tropical foliage that attracted birds. Our thatched roof room was fantastic. King-sized bed was very comfortable. The balcony was a fabulous place to relax. Negatives: the water was untreated, salt water, with intermittent hot water. You need to brush your teeth with bottled water. The saltiness makes getting a hair brush through your hair a challenge. Finally, the A/C unit from the neighbouring building blew hot air in through our bathroom screen window.

The property is in a good location and they do a good job of keeping the rooms clean. The air conditioner is only allowed to be on between 8 pm and 8 am but we found that it didn't really cool the room during the night. The breakfast was not great, not many options, and if you wanted more food you need to ask. They did not clean the beach loungers and basically left everything for you to do on your own. No bar service during the day and no restaurant on site. Overall, would rate this property as a 3.
