"The staff and grounds were amazing. Loved the garden and the character of Gray’s Court. The bed and mattress in our room are in need of an upgrade as the mattress sagged a bit and the bed frame croaked with every motion."

"This is a little late, we stayed in January 2026: I recently had the pleasure of staying at Serenity in the City to celebrate my wife’s birthday, and I can wholeheartedly say it was a remarkable experience! The apartment we stayed in was stunning; it felt truly luxurious, with elegant decor and all the amenities we could have hoped for. Joe and her husband were incredibly helpful and friendly, making us feel right at home from the moment we made contact. Their warm hospitality significantly...

"Beautiful apartment, had everything we needed for a one night stay and a close walk to city centre, would definitely stay again."

"We only stayed at Ashbourne House for one night and it was very nice. Lovely room with a Comfortable bed, great shower and towels. Plenty if tea and coffee, and if you ran out you could get more from a dish on the landing also a sweet treat if you needed it, which I thought was a nice touch. "Charming National Trust Queen Anne House now hotel. Excellent service, good food and magnificent garden. Rooms pretty decent and deserving of 4 stars. Very pleasant two day stay."

"The staff were lovely and friendly. Good breakfast including hot food cooked to order. Would have liked more amenities such as bathroom slippers or robe provided, but this was minor. It would have been good to provide bottled water although we mostly filled up from the bar. Great location close to all tourist sites. Very quiet hotel. The staff were all very helpful. Overall we had an excellent stay."

"Such a great experience! Great, friendly hosts and great location. Clean room and the coffee station and cold waters were a nice bonus!"

"Perfect"

"This was one of the finest travel experiences my husband and I ever had to be underground yeah. At first we were disappointed because we thought we were going to be in the underground brick bunker room and we weren't we were just in a plain old underground room but when I talked to the staff about it they upgraded us to the most beautiful room I've ever seen with a huge copper bathtub, a four poster bed the most luxurious comfortable place we've ever stayed. The the food was superb, incredible...
