"Loved the location of this hotel, just a couple of minutes walk from the station so ideal if arriving by train, as we were. Plenty of good cafes, pubs and mini supermarkets close by. Staff were friendly and helpful, couldn't fault them. Cafe on the ground floor was also a bonus, food and drinks fab. Will definitely stay here again."

"Really nice and regrettably brief stay at this wonderful bed and breakfast ran by a lovely couple. I was made to feel at home from the start and the hosts went out of their way to help make my stay as comfortable as possible (including an offer of a lift to a local pub!). Breakfast was really high quality and ample. I will definitely look to stay again! Thank you!"

"Couldn't wish for a better welcome, hosts were exactly my cuppa - laid back and relaxed at all times. Looked after well before I even got to the site and enjoyed an unexpected upgrade. Very decent breakfast to set me up also. Hope to stay there again soon!"

"Well presented clean room on the ground floor with excellent facilities. Food and drink excellent. Staff were incredibly helpful with any queries, we felt like one of the family. I have never commented on any other survey before this, so must have have made a very big impression ! Thank you and congratulations to your staff Matt our stay with you was wonderful. "Room very clean and housekeeping in attendance. Breakfast - chaotic but a very busy period for hotel; staff multi-tasking perhaps a bit too much; guests not too sure where anything was located at buffet; no room-check 'just turn up' gives impression of low-value aspect. Everything else, fine."

"The good: located directly beside the train station for convenience, room was tidy, staff were friendly, breakfast was sufficient, although a tad expensive, but comparative to other hotels fair. The poor: the AC did not work, the hotel room was 27C the whole time. When complaining to the staff, they shrugged and handed us a small fan. The halls and lobby were nice and cool, but guests in their room sweated in their sleep. Small grievances: the shower water wasn't hot enough, and although...

"Awesome location and amazing room. At first we thought ground floor in this area would be loud- but- noooooo! We were close to amazing gym and pool- and nobody ever walked past our windows. View was amazing! Staff provided some single sheets for us- as the summer was quite hot. Sitting areas both inside and out were a really nice amenity- as we were here 7 days- so having extra space was a bonus."

"Such a lovely hotel with lots of history, 8 minute walk to the town. Beautiful decor and extremely friendly and helpful staff from the reception staff to the bar staff. They upgraded our room for free due to a celebration booking and could not have been more lovely. Thank you!"
