"Very friendly and helpful front desk. Lovely rooms, and probably the most comfortable beds we’ve ever had at a hotel. Location was amazing. Breakfast wasn’t included as noted in the ad, but they quickly made it right with us. Beach towels only were included, not chairs or umbrella as noted in Expedia. Parking was challenging but there are for pay garages nearby. Overall was a great spot and will stay again."

"The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Location is great, just one block from the beach and Ocean Drive. Breakfast was fair, had the usual continental staples. While the room and property were clean, the hotel just seems tired and run down. The rooms are in need of a face-lift. Also, our room was extremely small. It was ok for our one night stay, but longer than that may be uncomfortable."

"I really enjoyed my overnight stay at the Avalon. My daughter and I stayed at the Avalon the night before our cruise, from check in to check out the staff were absolutely amazing and some of the most helpful and friendliest I ever had the pleasure of meeting. The $15 breakfast was very appreciated and enjoyable, the security deposit was reasonable, and, they even held my bags after checkout so that we could spend time on the property and strip until it was time to leave for the cruise....

"- Property does not have parking that seems popular for that crowded area. They charge you for $45 dollars per day for valet parking. You need to drop your car to a spot almost 250m from hotel, and need to call to fetch the car 15 to 30 minutes beforehand, otherwise have to wait for your car in the street. I paid $144 on top of hotel rate for my 3 days of stay. - Hotel room was very good. Though I booked one of their best (They call it ocean view) - Breakfast was good and worth it. If you want...

"I called 3 times for info, too book and for directions and parking and each time I called, it answered quickly and the front ask helped with whatever I needed. Check In was easy. Our rooms were spotlessly clean. We ate outside at their restaurant and service was quick and efficient. The food was excellent. We really loved their open coffee and ice water bar. It was a very nice amenity . They have an ice machine down stairs and I was down there filling up my ice bucket for my water bottles....
