Hearton Hotel Kyoto
Clean big room. Location is perfect and close to two subway lines. Quiet street. Very good local restaurants scattered around the neighborhood with just few minutes walking.

Minn Gion
The Minn Gion is a very good choice. I gave it 4 stars becasue I am a hard marker. It is well located in the northern part of the Gion district but only 5 to 10 minutes walk due south to the heart of the district. Compact, clean rooms with kitchenette and amenities.
