"Good communication. Accommodation as expected, old building, original features. Hands on host, information comprehensive. Clean, comfortable with lots of little extras. Accessible wet room. Great area."

"Lovely 2 night stay. Super Comfy bed which is a plus for those with a bad back or hip..slept so well. Spacious room even though we booked the smallest category. Wonderful rain shower. L'Occitane branded hand wash, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. Quiet air con so was able to keep on all night without it being noisy. Window opens ever so slightly so lovely breeze comes in. We were there when the weather was +30 degrees celcuis. Great views of the Gorge and Clifton Bridge from the bar /pub...

"The room is good and of a reasonably high standard. There are however two major challenges. The room was on the top floor which from the car park is three flights of stairs. A lot when you’re carrying several large bags and clothes for a wedding. The second big issue is the hall lights on a sensitive room sensor. There is no way to switch this off or lights off. "Evening food was awful over cooked fish, swimming in grease, I was actually sick. Was full of students and felt sorry for the staff as they were really busy but could not keep up with the busy time l, they were over worked and seemed confused. We booked a table for the evening meal and no one knew about it . No table reserved for us. . Not great for parents with young children"

"This place has been transformed from a house into a 10 room guest house but with virtually no health and safety measures in place or faulty/unusable ones. The rooms, themselves, are ok but small but, again, no PAT Testing done, no fire exits highlighted etc. The showers are filthy and poorly maintained (more water comes out of the hose than reaches the head). All in all avoid at all costs. Fire doors are wedged open and the only fire blanket is very high up."

"I like to stay at this property due to the proximity to the University's Victoria Rooms. The staff were great at all times. I only had continental breakfast which was satisfactory."

"The location is ideal – right in the city centre. Excellent breakfast. The hotel has its own large paid parking for £17 per day. The rooms are a bit dated. Outside, it was extremely hot during our trip. The room's built-in air conditioning, despite being set to the lowest possible setting (+18°C), was blowing hot air. The windows wouldn't open, making it impossible to sleep."

"Lovely property in the middle of the city centre - and yet very calm and quiet. Room was excellent, with AC and space and nicely, easily decorated, ample power sockets placed in the correct place. . Breakfast is easy - buffet style and menu for hot items.. All very good - will stay again ."
