"this hotel is quiet a bit farther away from where the shopping centres are if you are a tourist but it is worthed the economical value (thus the name) there are places to eat around the hotel within walking distances. There's not much to see around the area but the hotel has a free shuttle service to local shopping mall (novena sq) with an mrt station beneath it.
The hotel staff are okay but they are mighty helpful, getting a taxi is easy just let the receptionist know. There are a lot of...

"Excellent budget hotel for the price and a convenient location with very cool aircon. Turn the aircon fan speed to one to minimise noise for sleeping. Some may consider the bed hard. Otherwise it one of the much better hotel 81 in spore. I stayed for 7 days with 0 issue and they allowed me an early check-in."

"The room was clean, tidy and in good working order with wifi, tv and refrigerator. The room was a bit small, especially the bathroom. No bottled water provided which was the standard all over SE Asia (even in Laos). Overall, a good place to stay for the price. "
