Our group loved our stay. All the staff we encountered were friendly and attentive. The food including a couple of the à la carte restaurants, was tasty. The common areas were always kept clean. Our room was clean and comfortable, this was the only area of the hotel that felt a bit dated. The location is great, close to the airport and a quick bus or taxi ride away from the central tourist area. Overall, a great time and would recommend.

The location is impressive, with its pyramid shaped building, its cool to just be there. The check-in process was lengthy, a bad idea when you have a hungry and tired family. The single large pool was fine but I would have liked to have bathrooms near the pool and beach so you don't have to go all the way to the lobby or buffet (if its open) every time you need to pee or more. The rooms were good and the beds were comfortable but the air conditioning is a little loud and the bathroom door doesn't close fully, a privacy problem and the water from the shower comes out and gets everything wet. The activities where fun and the staff were great, friendly and very helpful. I definitely recommend it and the price was good for the quality. Howeverm as with many other locations, the executive staff will invite you to a supposedly 90 minute sales presentation and offer you something nice, like a couple of massages. This generates a bad experience in my opinion. The presentation ends up being closer to 3 hours (it includes breakfast, but still) and at the end they push you to chose and buy whatever they are selling there and then. This creates pressure and stress, and feels scammy. I really hate this and wish they would find a better way to sell these things.

Had the absolute best trip to this resort! Food at all the restaurants was amazing; didn’t have a bad meal all week. We wished some of the restaurants were open for lunch so we could eat there even more, but snack bars were amazing. Pools were great; lots of little areas to hang out and the bar staff there were awesome, along with all the staff around the resort. Stayed with my partner in the hotel; amazing view from our balcony and room was great. Didn’t make it to all of the evening shows, but the ones we did were exceptional and we absolutely loved the rock show. Location is also great as you’re very close to the airport, as well as the attractions in the hotel zone. Would highly recommend staying here!

I had a ball as a solo traveler! The resort is perfect for families, I would book again but maybe at an all adult resort with Iberostar!! Other than that great service, views, & lots to do!! I enjoyed the food as well!

Nous étions là du 21 au 26 mars 2026, et les buffets étaient tellement bons que nous ne sommes pas allez dans un des restaurants. La plage était entretenu tous les matins pour retirer les sargasses. Génial.

I became sick after eating at the buffet on Tuesday and did not recover - it’s now Friday and I am home. I am not sure what I ate that caused this but it’s definitely stomach related.

Outdated hotel, poor customer service, cracked pool floor that can cut your feet. Food is bland and repetitive. Even Mexican food was bland and repetitive. They promote a $400 credit but you can use it a $25 credit per one item that must cost $100. Complete ripoff. It’s a 1 star resort on all fronts. Truly beyond disappointed. Never will return to this brand. Customer service is not helpful and lie to customer. No effort to make customers happy. Also racially discriminatory. Do not waste your time.

This is the cleanest resorts we have ever stayed at in Mexico! Staff does an amazing job in keeping all the pools VERY clean & property tidy. Our room was cleaned quickly every day as soon as we left & all requests were quickly addressed. We had a villa w. garden view. The semi private pool for villa guests are an awesome touch. There are 3, & many hammocks to enjoy. I guess the only downside I would say is that all my kids had an awesome time. The kids star camp looked amazing, although my kids weren’t particularly interested in going since my daughter’s a bit older. They section it out for kids 4–7 and then 8–12 & they invited my 13 y/o to participate if she wanted. They offer many kids activities via star camp. Great place for kids particularly through ~ 10 as they have a nice pirate themed kids pool play area with slides perfect for younger kids. That pool is only ~ 1.5’ deep (?) so very safe / easy for kids to navigate. The food was relative good. I read many reviews before saw some complaints about the food, but as with all resorts, they have to serve masses of people so you’re not getting star quality typically. I think some people need an expectation reset for resort food. Only ick experience was at the hibachi- everything cooked to death. We went ~5:45 & almost no wait. The pool smashburger bar was super good! Buffet was good IMO - many options. Drinks were great & staff very very nice. Con: pedicure

We had a great stay! Cleanliness was great and the staff were caring and amazing. I must mention though 3 out of 6 of us had severe GI issues while there and they were sick for a solid 24 hours. The buffet options weren’t the best and the refrigeration of the burger meat at the station by the pool was questionable. The app was broken so we didn’t know what activities were happening and when. We wanted to play pool and ping pong but there wasn’t chauk for the sticks or rackets/balls available. In the evenings, there wasn’t much happening for entertainment until the show started. Still enjoyed my stay and the pool was great during the day!

Staff and hotel were brilliant, some days some of the drinks werent refilled in mini bar. Wasn't a fan of the check in process placing us in front of a time share offer as soon as we arrived and being approached by the time share team most mornings. Drinks felt watered down also. Other than that really enjoyed our stay.

We had an amazing experience at Iberostar Selection Cancun from the moment we arrived until our departure. The entire stay exceeded our expectations! Every member of the hotel staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive, always making sure we were comfortable and enjoying our stay. A special thank you to Zerafin from Customer Service for the excellent assistance, Fredy the master bartender for the great drinks and friendly service, and Chef Luis along with his team for preparing such outstanding meals. The food was absolutely delicious throughout our stay and truly made the experience even more memorable. The level of hospitality and attention to detail from everyone at the resort was exceptional. We highly recommend Iberostar Selection Cancun and look forward to returning in the future!

We went there with our whole family, including adults and children. For an additional fee they were able to give us a qualified nanny for our youngest child. It was absolutely the best thing ever! Activities, galore! The food was out of sight! And the hospitality absolutely unbeatable. The rooms were very nice. Pools were great, beach access was perfect And the bars were fantastic! Would 100% go back.
