Almost everything had an up charge. I was disappointed to see that this property was asking for money on almost everything but advertising as all inclusive. For example, every restaurant charged for wine and had items on the menu for an additional cost. Also, all of the cabanas by the pool and beach were an additional charge. You have to reserve all of the restaurants and our first night there we were turned away by two because we did not have a reservation. They should reserve some seats for walk ins and not turn away paying customers. This is a terrible customer experience.

Check-in was ok however the first thing they do is try to sell you the diamond club. After, they try to get you to a 90 minute presentation. We explained to Alex that we already have a Palace membership and weren’t interested in another one, but he wouldn’t take no for an answer so we ended up agreeing since it was the only way he would let us go. The next day we went to the spa for a hydrotherapy and massages. We went in and did the sauna and steam room, when it was time for the pool the lady told us it had been close for over a month. The massages were so bad, the ladies were just waiting for the time to pass instead of giving us the actual massage. The food was just bad. The guacamole tasted so bad, I don’t understand how they can have bad guacamole in Mexico. If you went 15 min before your reservation they would tell you to go back at the time you had reserved, not even trying just a plain NO. Service was bad everywhere but specially in the sports bar, they would make up different rules everyday. We felt more like a bother than a guest. Room towels had stains all over, the pool didn’t have any clean towels by 4:30pm and they close at 7. The all inclusive is more of a way to get you in, and once you’re there they try to charge extra for everything. The only people that stood out regarding service are Ulises, Aram and the hookah ladies by the pool. Other than that it was HORRIBLE. We love Cancun and been many times, whoever this was our first and last time at Royalton.

My stay at Royalton Chic Cancun was fantastic. As a member of the diamond club, I particularly valued our butler Iran, who took excellent care of us with all our reservations. He ensured that our special requests were addressed promptly and with great attention. As a vegan, my favorite dining experience was at La Hacienda restaurant, where we dined twice for dinner. On our first night, Chef Alexis amazed us with a wonderful vegan dish. The presentation and flavors were delightful. On our second night, we had Argeny, whose meal was incredibly tasty and very inventive. It was clear that he had a true passion for cooking. I was genuinely impressed by both chefs' ability to craft a delicious vegan meal! The stunning views from the hotel were remarkable. Everyone at the hotel was very attentive and sincere.

Some aspects of the room did show signs of wear, but the room itself was very nice. Elevators worked fine, but poor during peak hours. Service itself was very good. The gym was excellent. The food in both the buffet and two of the restaurants we ate, were average but satisfying. Definitely a wide variety of different juices, meals etc.

eck-in was smooth, the hotel was very clean, and the rooms were spacious, although I was disappointed that despite requesting a king bed months in advance, I received two queen beds. The food was one of the best parts of the stay. The buffet had an excellent variety, especially seafood, with delicious made-to-order breakfast omelets and flavorful dinner options. The steakhouse was outstanding — excellent food, attentive service, and easily a 5/5 experience. The staff were mostly very helpful, especially the Vibes Crew, who kept the atmosphere lively with fun activities throughout the day, and the concierge, who was excellent with transport advice and local recommendations. The location is fantastic, within walking distance of Coco Bongo Cancun and the main nightlife area, plus a nearby flea market. The biggest downside was the timeshare-style sales pitch disguised as “special discounts” at check-in, which felt very pressured and took up valuable vacation time. The Chopsticks Asian restaurant was also extremely disappointing, with poor service and bland, poorly prepared food. Overall, despite a few negatives, the clean facilities, great food, excellent daytime activities, and prime location made this a very enjoyable stay. I would definitely return, but would skip the sales presentation and avoid the Asian restaurant.

Hi, I would like to talk about my experience at the Royalton chic Hotel in Cancun Mexico. Overall, the most amazing views from almost anywhere, and the resort food, solid beach, unbelievable and just overall a really good place to stay in my opinion a good bang for your buck.

The room was clean, modern with a lot of space for setting. The balcony has beautiful views of the beach and the pool. The staff was friendly and extremely accommodating. I let them know I was celebrating a Babymoon and they decorated the room with balloons. The Mexican celebration party was amazing. The pool was nice, clean and had many events like a foam party, water aerobics. Great restaurant options. I wish I stayed longer. I plan to return

Excellent service. Treated like VIP. Lots of activities in and around the pool. Buffet food fresh with amazing variety. Spa amazing experience. Room service great. Overall experience was excellent. Definitely will go back.

Short version: Location 10/10 (25 mins from airport + walkable) Beach 9/10 (effort made to remove sawgarsum) Staff 9/10 (attentive and professional) Drinks 10/10 (good selection even w/o upgrade) Food 5/10 (all inclusive so, you know!) Security/Safety 10/10 Aesthetics 10/10 (very Snap ready) Vibe 10/10 Long version: Stayed at Royalton CHIC Cancún in April 2026 for 5 days / 4 nights as a solo traveler and let me just say... this place understood the assignment. I've been to Cancún multiple times, and l've stayed at other Royalton properties in Riviera (Mexico), Blue Waters (Jamaica) and Punta Cana, (DR) but this was my first time at CHIC Cancún and it absolutely delivered on the vibes. Perfect mix of fun, social energy, and relaxation. If you're traveling solo, you will NOT feel alone here. The staff? Top tier. I didn't even upgrade to Diamond Club, but the service felt like I did. Everyone was personable, attentive, and accommodating without being overbearing. Now let's talk food, because I keep it real. It was mid. But honestly, that's pretty standard for all-inclusives, so no surprises there. Level 18 was the best dinner option by far, especially for seafood. Everything else? I was eating just enough to keep up with the drinks... which were strong, consistent, and never stopped flowing. 10/10 would absolutely recommend. If you're looking for a good time, great energy, and a place where it's easy to meet people and just live a little. BOOK IT!!
