"Do not EVER STAY at Holiday Inn Express in Gatlinburg. One of our worst experiences ever at any hotel we’ve ever been to. So many things I can’t even list them all but most importantly was the fact we were charged over three times the amount of what our actual rate was for our stay and they charged our card that amount three times. "I seldom complete reviews but the stark contrast between the attractiveness of this hotel and room (balcony, hot tub, fireplace) and the comfort of the mattress was stark. After hiking over 14 miles in the mountains, the mattress still felt like sleeping on the ground. I expect a better mattress from Hilton."

"The place its self is beautiful. The location is amazing. What was frustrating is on expedia they dont tell you about the addition security deposit. They also did not give us the code information until we were 10 minutes out. That was frustrating because we through it might have been a scam. Also there were packages left outside. We were asked to bring them in. Thats fine we did no problem but there was no where to put then that was not in our way."

"John at the front desk is awesome!!! All the staff is great that I’ve encountered. However at the price point it’s at there are other options. I’ve stayed several times and I love the location, but the condition of the rooms is slowly degrading. Not saying I won’t stay again, but I am going to look at newer options. Also my other major complaint is the pool is only open to 10pm for kids, way too often the kids want to go in the pool after a long day out but it’s too late for the pool. I really...

"Parking convenient & safe. Elevator on premises. Property undergoing renovations. Rooms a mix of modern & vintage style. Staff lovely & helpful. Breakfast is an assortment of packaged conveniences but it’s a start for coffee & a banana. Trolley stops across the road. Main Street is 2-3 minute walk. Would stay again!"
