"Completely mediocre. Booked through Expedia so obviously they gave us one of their worst rooms. We were essentially in the lobby. Room was in rough shape. Peeling wall paper stains on carpet and what looked like a blood stain on the top sheet. Under staffed… Front desk staff were folding sheets in the laundry service and making / serving the continental breakfast. Therefore breakfast was chaotic, out of everything. The owner didn’t respond to our or the property management company’s many communications for two days so we had to stay at a run down hotel which was all we could get at 9:30 on a Friday night in the middle of nowhere A week later the owner still hadn’t responded or apologized for our family’s considerable inconvenience...

"Historical building with lots of character, lobby fireplace was warming on a rainy day. The first floor lobby and dining rooms are very dark, great atmosphere but bring a little flashlight. Met a lot of nice people during our stay. The welcoming scotch was fantastic. We heard the breakfast was minimal. It was not, filled with all kinds of homemade apple strudel, mushroom quiche, chocolate pastries, many other delicious sweet muffins, etc."
