"The renovated room was nice… better than expected based on prior reviews. This is a nice quiet place to stay in the Hyde Park neighborhood, close to Lake Michigan and also close to bus, Metra and the “L” stations to reach downtown as well as the south side & south suburbs."

"Don't stay here . It's not safe . Could not even check in with reservations. Slept on sidewalk literally. Had to get a refund even after filing out paperwork and told to come back for room key later . I did and nobody there spent hours on hold in streets trying to resolve. Expedia couldn't even get ahold of property. Very disappointed on property side and Expedia. You have been warned trust the reviews this place is horrible"

"The room seemed clean, but the bathroom was a little dirty. They require a $300 deposit, which I thought was too much for just one night. I only slept there for about 6 hours. I wasn’t able to shower in the morning because of the shared bathroom situation. There were two other guests using the bathroom in the morning and I had to check out by 10am."

"Housekeeping did not come a single time in the four days and four nights I stayed there. The beds were not made nor was the trash taken out a single time . I had to phone them twice to receive bath towels. I was using Uber eats take out bags as trash bags due to the lack of housekeeping not coming."

"We had cockroaches in our room, it didn’t feel clean at all, very sketchy people walking around, no soap in room, tv channels didn’t work, we had no working lights on one side of the room, the room smelled TERRIBLE. I would and will never stay at a motel 6 again. They did not seem bothered by the cockroaches and said maintenance would look at it next time they are in."

"My room was dirty, and smelled like wet dog or mildew upon arrival. Was highly upset and the hotel was fully booked out so I could ‘t even ask for another room. The shower was really bad at keeping the water inside the shower-well which caused the water to seep into the carpet no matter how many towels we put down. Couldn’t take a shower without there being a ginormous puddle of water on the floor. & the ac barely worked which made the room even more humid/mildew smelling. Would not book this...
