"A lovely welcome on arrival, room was very pleasant. Only downside was I would have preferred the breakfast buffet laid out on a table rather than the bar."

"Very dissapointing stay. Rooms were tired, food was below par with us not enjoying our meal at all. As a resident we struggled to find anywhere to sit in the bar as the bar/lounge was full of people visiting to eat food. Kept up all night by dogs barking so didn't sleep well. Had to wait for 20 minutes one morning at breakfast before we were given a menu or asked if we wanted a tea or coffee and only provided after we prompted the staff. "What a wonderful stay we had - hidden gem literally couple of mins walk to Bowness lakes/shops/restaurants/pubs - beautiful gardens, staff so friendly and helpful, rooms full of character and had everything we needed for our stay - the breakfast was amazing - cereal, every kind of fruit and great choice of cooked breakfast too - plus private onsite parking - we'll definitely be visiting again"

"A clean and spacious room with easy access and a super large and comfortable bed. Staff couldn't do more for us, really friendly and welcoming. Loved the open garden space, well maintained and was calm and peaceful. On Sunday morning, the hotel provided a bird of pray session, the guy taking the session was super knowledgeable - such a great added extra. Great sized car park, easily accessible. "Staying at Cedar Manor was a dream. The room was clean, cozy with enough space for our needs. Coffee & tea corner with mini refrigerator too. The most comfortable beds of any other hotel! Breakfast was excellent and even customized for my pescatarian son. The grounds are impeccably and beautifully kept. Can’t wait to go back next year."

"We can't recommend Storrs Gate House enough, such a good break away here. Susann and Glenn are amazing hosts, such friendly, lovely people. Breakfasts were incredible and definitely set you up for the day, we are missing those breakfasts! The house is so beautiful, our room was perfect, plenty of space and beautifully decorated. Our celebratory time away was made all the more special staying at Storrs Gate, we would definitely like to stay here again, thank you for such a lovely stay."
