I was born and worked in Croydon long time since I have been back and so sad to see it looking so run down and dirty. Did not feel safe either. Such a shame it could be a lovely town but definitely needs some TLC!
To be fair I didn't see much of Croydon. My stay was a break to unwind. I went as far as the local complex and TGI's. However, from past experience I would say Croydon is a good place to shop, eat and go to the cinema.
Better than expected
Great range of places to eat nearby and things to do.
Attending an event near by where oneif the attendees was mugged in the evening.
