"The view of Mt. Fuji from our balcony was amazing each morning and was the highlight of our vacation. Pros: The private onsen, sauna, size of unit, 2 toilets, 2 showers, quiet location (on Lake Ashi) across from 7-eleven and where Pirate ship would dock, bathroom amenities provided, kitchen with tools to cook. Cons: can’t pinpoint but smell of rooms were musty especially when AC was turned off. A lot of dust around and sofa in one area was stained and should be cleaned; Difficulty with washing machine. It doesn’t dry fully so hang your clothes overnight. Otherwise, location and view was breathtaking."

"The dinner and breakfast is included plus unlimited alcohol. When you check in you need to book your time for dinner slot time frame.s. The food is 10/10. Also you can book a private hot tub room for only 3000 yen tax included. 10-10 hotel and service is 10/10"

"Pros: - rooms on 2nd and 3rd floor have clear view of Mt Fuji and Lake Ashi if the weather is good - onsens are nice, indoor and outdoor - staff is very nice - they have 3 e-bikes to rent which was our favorite way to get around Cons - pretty old property, musty smell - kind of isolated so if you don't like their dinner you need to figure out a taxi to and fron town, uber is poasible but not giranteed to always get one available - dinner food was only ok"

"This was the highlight in terms of hotels of our trip. We booked 2 rooms not realizing the "room" was actually its own building with a lower level, mezzanine living room and top floor, and our family would have been able to stay in the same place (something to consider). The hotel picked us up from the bus station, which was super helpful. And Mt Fuji greeted us in the morning! I only wish we'd stayed 2 nights here, it was really really beautiful!"

"Hotel de Yama was great. This place has a real mountain lodge feel to it. It is remote and very quiet but within a mile of fun activities. It was the perfect lay-over between the hustle and bustle of Kyoto and the hugeness of Tokyo. The rooms were nice. The restaurants were both great. The grounds were amazing, especially the garden. The staff was super helpful. And the onsen was next level - so relaxing. Would come back to this place in a heartbeat"
