"Marketed as a “budget friendly” hotel I would only recommend to those with low expectations or planning to use the room for solely sleeping purposes. At first glance the room seems clean, the bed sheets freshly washed and the bathroom sanitized but as the week of my stay went on and I was looking for something I lost under the bed I stumbled across a hot Cheeto under the dresser which led me to believe that the room wasn’t as clean or vacuumed at all like I thought. "Im not much of a review writer but this spot deserves the hype. We had an INCREDIBLE time in Kauai and Kauai Shores Hotel was the cherry on top for a place to lay our heads after a day of adventure. Staff were helpful and friendly, rooms were clean and cute, the beds were very comfortable, the property was lush, both pools were clean and enjoyable. It sits right on the ocean and there are outdoor chairs on the beach to enjoy. You can absolutely swim there if you like but the waves were pretty...

"Everything was great. Staff helpful & friendly. Location great for us. Close to my nephews & the beach. Only thing was the king mattress was hard. It was like sleeping on a bale of hay. Also, the metal chairs on our lanai were oversized & a bit odd. They took up most of the lanai. Other than that, pool, bar area, staff, food by the pool & location were all great. I would stay again but may try a different size bed."
