"This is a great place to stay if you’re looking for a quiet neighborhood without the mobs of tourists. The building is beautiful and quite sprawling. I was on the 2nd floor and had incredible views of Dean village. On clear days you can see quite far beyond the city into the mountains and sea. "Wonderful stay at Eden Locke in New Town Edinburgh. The building was clean and quiet. Check in was later than our arrival time, but the staff were accommodating with storing our luggage before we could access our suite. The room was a small studio-type suite, perfect size for two people. If one wants to be self sufficient, this is perfect. Small kitchenette with laundry. Housekeeping was only once in our ten days there, so the space was truly our own."

"The property worked for our family of 5 stay; however, property does not have AC which would be important in the summer. Additionally, sleeping 5 meant sharing spaces as there is only a large great room / kitchen and the master bedroom with master bath. If you need a laundry you’ll have to reserve somewhere else. The location was the best attribute of this property. It is close to everything."

"Lots to like about the hotel. Staff are lovely, the pool was fabulous to use after a long day sightseeing, the room was small but comfortable and the bathroom had lovely products. "+ Check-in was very easy and staff were helpful. Location was perfect for getting around the city, the AC was great and the bed was comfortable. - The cleanliness of the room was not the best and the lack of regular housekeeping was not ideal, as 4 days between cleans is a bit long. The HVAC did not appear to work for circulation, and there was some old water damage to the bathroom door frame/swelling of kitchenette linoleum."
