"I'll start off with the positives. - Stunning view of the lake - Welcoming staff. - Clean Negatives - Dated rooms. The bathroom sink was cracked and held together with some form of yellow/brown epoxy. Kind of puts you off initially. - Shower had poor pressure and the shower head bracket did not support it properly. - The lighting in the bathroom is on the dim side. - Breakfast took a while to get served, we even had to ask for an ETA. Once it was served it was underwhelming. - Pillows are not...

"Nice clean room, got parked outside and was able to check-in early. Good choice of drinks, a well supported pub which is nice to see. Nice hot shower in the morning too."

"Very friendly and welcoming staff. This is a five hundred year old building so don't expect a Premier inn with nice even floors and shiny paintwork, however if you want a pub hotel with real character this place is a gem. Every member of staff was great and couldn't do enough to make the stay perfect. Unfortunately we didn't get to have a meal there but the breakfast is absolutely worth getting up for. We will be back. "

"We checked in late night, sadly they have no room for the type of room that I have paid. I paid for executive room and the manager said that they are overbooked hence, can only give me a standard room (thats the only room left for that day). Helllowww, I have prepaid all my rooms and yet the hotel gave my room to someone who paid even lesser than me. The manager said things happened and it is better next time to book direcly with the hotel, not via third party. So I told them, that is not an...

"Some of the stall were really good but others were so so. Really didn’t appreciate the guy trying to charge me 20£ for an hour early check in after 8hr flight plus an 1hr travel to hotel. Room was super small but stuff put a decent effort in"

"A great Hotel! The front desk staff, restaurant and bar staff were all very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable of the area. The location of this hotel is fantastic! Walking distance to Tower Bridge, a great selection of shops and restaurants and pubs. Borough market is walking distance. The tube is also very close. Would highly recommend."

"It’s almost unknown today, but they have a fully functioning bathroom. The shower does not spew water all over the room. There is counter space for our toiletries. There is a place for hand towel next to the sink. AND they have a place to hang dry used bath towels so that they can be reused per their ‘green pledge’. It’s almost unbelievable these days. Who would have thought is actually making a functional bathroom?"

"Leisten könnten sauberer sein, ebenso der absaugt im Waschbecke, die Ablage des Schreibtisches. Hand Abdruck beim Kopfteil des Bettes. Die Wärme des Zimmer war nicht so Toll. Aber da kann jeder selber seine Prioritäten setzen, denn das ist für mich schon auf hohen Niveau jammern . Die Lage ist grandios, waren viel unterwegs und konnten uns entscheiden ob zu Fuß , Tube, Bus oder Schiff . Alles war schnell erreichbar. Vor der Tür viel Auswahl an Essen oder auch Lebensmittel ."
