"First time staying at The Standard and it was far from that. The brutalist architecture was breathtaking, the staff friendly and accommodating, the decor is very tasteful. Food choices we found to be a little limited, but then we were eating late, so a lot of stuff had shut for food service. We wanted to try Sweeties, but it was closed for a private function, and we hadn't been made aware off. Drink prices are a little expensive, even for a central London hotel, food is extremely expensive, and to be fair, from our experience, was not up to the standard you would expect. I certainly wouldn't be having breakfast there again. Overall, an amazing experience, I would just eat elsewhere, and there is a lot of choice around!"

"Room was good. Not big for 4 people but we didn’t expect much different in London. Air conditioning was pretty ineffective though so the room was super hot. Breakfast was extremely busy, staff worked very hard to keep replacing food and the choices were good. Bar staff very friendly. "
