"Great location with lots of restaurants, bars, and shops around. The walls, windows, and doors do not block out a lot of sound, but that is expected for NYC. You could easily hear the street and other guests, bring earplugs (they supplied some also). The towels were very low quality and each person only gets one per night, so plan for that. "It is beyond my comprehension how this place has a 9 "excellent" rating. 1. It has single pane windows that do not keep out the cold air or sound. 2. There is no thermostat. If you like to sleep in a cold room, this is not the place for you. Unless you sleep in the tub (see next point). 3. For cold weather stays, there is no heat in the bathroom. "Person checking us in could not understand us and did not communicate that we had requested a late check out. Sheets were absolutely filthy and looked as if they had been previously slept on. We had a ridiculous time getting toilet paper and person at reception 5 was rude. The towels were awful and smelled like cat urine. The toilet paper had been previously wet.
