"I always like to stay at Iowa House when I'm in Ames. The location is excellent, the breakfast always delicious, and the self-serve aspect of the house works really well. The common spaces are comfortable and nicely appointed, bringing back that ISU vibe with mid-century decor and oak treatments."

"Glad we discovered this gem. It was our first time at this classy inn in what appears to be a leafy uptown neighborhood within easy walking distance to a hip downtown area. Friendly co-owner, beds were comfy and the delicious breakfast was more than we could finish. "I had a very pleasant experience here and would stay again. Kay and Celeste were very sweet and welcoming hosts. They prepared a tasty breakfast every morning and had fresh coffee. The room was small and the building is old so every step is squeaky, but that personally made it more charming for me! Bringing a fan for noise helped with sleeping. "Beautiful B and B in a great setting, out and away from the touristy part of Okoboji. Good service with lots of amenities. Not on the water, but nice, peaceful and quiet. Breakfast was unique, but with no real choices."

"Lovely and quite area, however a bit of a ways away from town. I wish we had more time to spend in this lovely home and enjoy the amenities. We arrived late and unfed and they kindly provided me with provisions which was above and beyond. Had our best sleep of our cross-country journey here and would definitely visit again if in the area.
