"3rd stay and it doesn’t get any better menu at bar for food is awful and so overpriced and as for the breakfast it is virtually non existent no bacon as it hadn’t been delivered sausages that had seen better days soggy hash browns and the rest isn’t worth mentioning. The only decent item is the toast and coffee in paper cups absolutely shocking."

"Hard to access the hotel between 15:00pm and 16:30pm the road outside becomes a walk path, got to enter the hotel via the car park on the 2nd floor, Also the pool and spa are not open on Tuesday & Wednesday. Hotel and service was beautiful."

"Rooms were nice and were clean. Only negatives were 1) there's not really a desk in the room . Only a round stool with no back on it so difficult if you're using the hotel for business. 2) There were no vegan main meals on the menu which is disappointing."

"The hotel was clean and welcoming. The staff were very all very helpful and welcoming. Dinner was exceptional, it was hot tasty and you got a decent plate of food rather than a taster of food. The pool and gym amenities were a great addition to the stay. With the hotel only 10 minutes from Chester Zoo it was a great place to stop to be able to spend the day there and then the pool, hot tub and sauna were great to rest the legs after a long day of walking. Definitely recommend staying here."

"Absolutely spotless hotel, food and the staff were first class, plenty of space in the bar and restaurant. Will definitely make a point of staying there when a hotel is needed in that area."

"Located convenientlly for Chester city centre, close to the Eastgate wall. Not too far from either the railway station or bus terminal if travelling by public transport. Stayed over bank holiday weekend for a wedding at the Town Hall with the reception away from the city. If have large or heavy luggage, there are some steps into the hotel. I offered to assist one guest who was leaving whilst I was waiting to check in. Property could do with some care & attention with flacking paint. The shelf above the room toilet had marks/peeled paint. Didn’t look like the room windows had been cleaned for a while, & anyway are closed shut. Did not use the catering facilities."

"The room was as expected and we enjoyed the shower. The door to the adjoining room was not good for sound insulation, so the neighbouring family kept us awake and I'd imagine we disturbed them in the morning with our early start. The main bed was also too firm, but the second bed was just right. It is a lovely setting, the breakfast was amazing and the staff were all friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the swimming pool, though my 12 year old son didn't like the communal men's changing room."

"We arrived late in the evening and the welcome was a little underwhelming (must have been a long day). The only slight issues with the room were a downlighter hanging from the ceiling and the plug not sealing the bath properly, so we were time limited in the bath before all the water escaped! These were minor issues and not deemed worthy of reporting. Room cleanliness and comfort was very good and slept well. Day 1 breakfast was a bit of a let down, in as much as mugs supplied were all dirty and when we selected plates for the buffet, the first 6 were also dirty. The staff on that day were behaving like school kids and clearly waiting to go home! I did mention the cleanliness as I left. Breakfast day 2 was like we'd walked into a different restaurant. Much more professional and clean cups! Our final advice we gave them on food (we both work in catering) was that they didn’t have any clear allergy information displayed for breakfast. As it is a buffet there are no menus and we were not asked about allergies. During our stay, I managed to lose my room key. I was anticipating an ordeal over it, but quite the opposite. We were assisted by a very friendly gentleman on reception. Also on checkout we were greeted in a very warm welcoming manor. Would have been nice to have had that on arrival! All in all. A good stay. Nothing in life is perfect and despite those few issues, we would happily stay there again. "
