"this was the absolute best place to stay in memphis! it’s exactly as shown in the photos, but somehow better? the room’s flourishes were so thoughtful. we were greeted by squirrels in the morning. the hosts were communicative & the whole process was smooth! we will definitely stay here again! oh & the shower.. the water pressure is perfect & the shower gel/hair products smell divine!"

"The room was quite nice: In the bathroom the toilet was jammed in between the sink and the wall so that it was difficult to sit down, and when I did my leg touched the metal of the stand that held the sink. We had an expensive dinner in the restaurant - not the French restaurant but the other one. The creamed spinach was limp spinach in a milky soupy something. We asked that the steak be charred on the outside, medium rare on the outside. It was neither and not very good. My dinner was...

"Room was nice and loaction is good. The breakfast is very expensive. The thing that lets it down are the bar staff and some at breakfast (but not all). One bar staff member was rude and arrogant, the worst we come across on our road trip, if you don't want to work here just get another job. "

"Staff was wonderful, bed was soft and clean, parking was great. Breakfast was only missing a juice bar."

"The staff waited to inform us that there was no hot water after we checked in. They gave us a complimentary breakfast for our family but it was probably the worst breakfast we have had at a hotel. We had the thermostat set on 68 but it would not get any cooler than 72 degrees. The attempted to renovate but the overall effort was little to be desired with big patches in the ceiling and nasty caulking jobs. The valet parking was the only thing nice about this hotel. Look elsewhere."

"The room was clean and well supplied. The property appears to be in a not very friendly neighborhood. The entire property is fenced and you need your key to enter the property every time. Has big signs explaining they are not responsible for damages or lost property in the parking lot. It is unease to fall asleep when the hotel doesn’t offer basic security for your car. I would skip this property the next time."

"The rooftop bar was never open during our stay, which was disappointing. The room was big, though the bathroom opened right into the bed area with only a separation for the toilet/shower which made use of the sink area a disturbance if someone was already in bed. Low water pressure, but bearable. It is a historic building so lots of creaks and odd sounds especially at night. The lobby doors stay locked 24/7 and parking is valet only, which we suspected may be due to some security concerns...

"Clean room, easy check in and out, friendly staff, the valet workers were amazing and didn’t get enough credit for handling such a busy day and night while we stayed! "

"We chose the property based on the photos showing an eclectic design. Our room has an original brick wall and the dual windows were original bay style. I don't typically sit in a lobby but there's was so inviting we did and visited with the staff. The bar/coffee was also fun to visit with the staff! Very friendly and inviting! It is a corner location and on the third floor there was NO traffic noise. And no sirens during the night."

"I travel all the time for work, and this is one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed in. When I got there, it’s like the room wasn’t even cleaned. I found a jellybean in the bed, the carpets were FILTHY, and the bathroom was disgusting. I found stray hairs everywhere. Even the lobby was unkept. I would’ve canceled on my stay, had it been refundable. I genuinely was disgusted to even walk on the floor in the hotel room 0 out of 10 do not recommend."

"Great location, staff was very helpful - one night we were locked out of the parking lot because they lock the gate at a certain hour. However, the valet attendant recognized our car and opened the gate, so we didn't have to go all the way around the building. This was wonderful because I just had foot surgery and really didn't plan to have to walk a long distance. "
