"The cabin was clean and had toilet rolls and shower gel etc it was the check in that was a nightmare we arrived on the dot at 3pm we were going to a surprise party at 4pm We didn’t get hold of the host until 5pm so we missed the start of the party we’ve had no apology for late check in at all"

"We absolutely loved our stay here! We were made to feel immediately welcome and our nervous dog felt right at home. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The staff were fantastic and friendly throughout our stay. We really enjoyed our meal in the evening and the cooked breakfast was fantastic! Parking was easy and the hotel is located centrally in the beautiful village. We would definitely come back!"

"Enjoyed a stay for three days. Staff very willing and helpful. Excellent food. Enjoyed the different areas especially the beer garden when it was warm. Was woken by the kitchen extract fan at 6am, which probably was due to the secondary double glazing not fitting correctly. Needs some maintenance."

Loved the giant (fancy) bottle of water, oatmeal…(too bad I couldn’t try the muffins as they have gluten) but what nice unexpected complimentary snacks. Could be loud potentially, it is above a pub, not an issue the night I was there"

"Room smelt of smoke, only offered air freshener, turns out the cleaners smoke right under where my room and where the laundry is held... Dusty, grimey, remote, shower broken, cooker vent grimey needs replacing. Walls are thin, someone smoking weed, someone upstairs moving aboout non stop, ended up not sleeping and was there for a funeral next day. Not quite sure what makes this hotel 4* it's defo like a hostel and even those are clean"
