"The check-in process was easy and headache free. The breakfast/ kitchen team were kind and helpful. Note that breakfast closes 30 min earlier on weekdays vs weekends (1030 vs 11). The room itself was spacious with clean linens. No mini fridge or way to call front desk though. No outlets in the bathrooms, you have to blow dry your hair in the main room and the dryer is fused into the wall. The light next to the mirror was not operational. "Everything was clean. I loved my room. It’s not the most updated place in the world, but it had its own charm. It’s warm and inviting. The staff was great, and had good suggestions for tours. It’s kind of a pain not having anything nearby. No convenience stores or coffee shops. You have to take a train or Uber. I tried the connected restaurant twice and did not care for it. It’ll do though with nothing else around. Overall, it was a good value and I felt safe and comfortable"

"As a first time in Edinburgh at 28 years , I do recommend ! Very friendly guests , they do their best in making it as comfortable as possible . It’s best to leave a message on your arrival date. The location is adequate very close to the bus station and a 15-20 minute walk to the amazing Portobello beach that is filled with amazing coffee shops and restaurants. The stores are nearby and has access to an ATM . Coffee is free and amenities are given all you need to do is ask . I would surely stay...

"Air conditioning was a saviour in this heatwave. Very centrally located.staff are lovely. They gave us a room with such a nice view. There were 2 baby seagulls on the rooftops which made our mornings and evenings such a treat to watch. Amenities were great, especially with the washing machine.
