"The hotel itself was clean and nice, so no issues with the room. The problem was the front desk experience. We had a night out in DC and chose not to drink and drive, so we booked and paid for a room ahead of time. When I (female) went to check in, I was told I couldn’t because of the time—even though the room was already paid for. Then my boyfriend went in right after me and had no issue getting the keys. The front desk worker, who appeared to be a gay male, was noticeably rude and dismissive...

"Very new and modern hotel. Nice front staff. Clean and comfort bed and pillows. Great location to the National Mall and Chinatown. Easy and safe underground parking in modern office building with in and out (best rate). Breakfast fresh and cooked to order(best value if you booked with the hotel booking process). Rooftop bar with beautiful night views."

"Our room was very nice. And they upgraded us to a street view. Loved the Cafe Riggs bar area and had a wonderful breakfast one of the mornings. Staff was very friendly. And we loved the location!"

"Nice hotel. However it’s located directly by the train tracks which run non stop at night. The rooms are advertised as sound proof but they are not. You can hear folks in the building as well as the noise from the multiple trains. Bring your own water because, there are no vending machines on the floor or water bottles in the room."

"Climate control in the room wasn’t able to maintain temp. Even on cool, temp continued to rise to 82-83 degrees. Called the front desk after struggling for a hour, but no solution. Finally just turned it off and the room cooled a bit. Otherwise, enjoyed the stay."

"My family’s experiance was pretty good. The only negatives was the beds were so uncomfortable and it took us a while to get used to the elevators, they don’t have floor numbers inside. Also you cannot get dropped off in front of the hotel. You have to get dropped off by the turnaround. The entrance is little hidden within buildings."

"The breakfast had good options. The room could have been cleaner. The bathroom needed updating lots of rust on the door and the faucets were loose in the bathtub. The pool area needs to be better maintained. The front desk staff was absolutely amazing Jose and Debbie the best customer service ever!!"
