"We’ve had our share of iffy experiences with NYC boutique hotels but it was World Cuo and rates were all over the map. The San Carlos looked the best of a lot of unknowns. It was a very pleasant surprise. It was convenient to all the things we needed and wanted to do. The room was well appointed and the staff was friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay again."

"Everything about the stay was wonderful — the upscale amenities, the room, and the excellent customer service. I do need to share one concern: a dinner charge for another guest was mistakenly billed to my room number. It seems the staff should verify guests more carefully when using room numbers. I didn’t notice the error until I reviewed the printed receipt at home. They are currently investigating, but the refund process has been taking longer than expected."

"Loved the cleanliness and the city views from up high were very good. Location excellent. The only downside is that it didn’t really feel like a hotel. It had a small bar, restaurant etc but no real feeling of a ‘centre’. Wasn’t a problem for us, but if you want somewhere with a bit more soul then look elsewhere"

"Had booked a suite, told room would not be ready until 3pm, not a problem. Upon return at 3 told room was being checked by manager and to have a seat in lobby and would be notified as soon as available. Waited half hour upon returning to desk told room now ready. Questioned how long I would have waited before let me know. Told hotel manager would call me, of course he never did"
