"Ok but do NOT book in the summer!! Only one room has air con and the heated towel rail can not be turned off! Even with the fuse removed (owner advised we remove). This made the bathroom ridiculous hot which filtered through to the room. Room wasn’t the cleanest, stains up the walls from coffee (I hope) Aircon in all rooms would make it much more comfortable and the rest could be overlooked. Staff were fantastic though."

"Nice touch the fridge and microwave the bathroom and room looked clean But the walls are to thin Close to the road the traffic is all u hear . The people above every move they make you can hear, doors closing and feet stomping . "

"Lovely location within easy reach of Wivenhoe and colchester. Our room was in the main house so the room was period therefore furnished with old furniture which is not really to our taste.
