Occidental at Xcaret Destination - All Inclusive

"We love this resort, and we have been coming here for years. We always get the all inclusive with Xcaret access which is great for kids and adults alike and really gives us various things to do. The hotel it self is well maintained, the food selection is good - especially at the main buffet and the à la carte restaurants are also good. The rooms are getting a bit old in the tooth but they are well maintained and very clean with AC working well. Building 21 or 22 would be my choice of building. The beach is pretty good as well - well protected in a cove and they found a way to prevent all the algea from getting in. Great place to stay."

"Housekeeping was great. Butler was not available right away as informed. We had to tell someone else and they sent a WhatsApp chat vs visiting and showing us room. Once the sales girl walked us to check in desk and we declined offers they didn’t pay much attention. Once we got a hold of the 7 butlers they helped in chat only. Place is big and food was good. We figured out how to get around and other staff was friendly enough to help. Art classes were fun. Expected a bit more for what we paid. Swim up pool was great. Not much of ocean view. There was also maintenance occurring at pool. We weren’t informed."

"Hi, Having breakfast in the "Adults Only" restaurant with Carlos each morning was great. He was very attentive, pleasant and the service provided was great. Angel, at the pool bar, remembered our drink order and we were always greeted with the smile. The dinner and service at the Lemon Fish was great! And if you have to keep moving during your stay attend a class with Nestor. He was energetic and motivating. The room was clean and very spacious. However, I was disappointed with the fact that when we checked in to the resort we were asked if we were to celebrating anything while we were in Mexico and our respond was "yes." We were in Mexico to celebrate our 35 year anniversary. The person who checked us in stated that he would setup something special for us and it never happened. My only other complaint was trying to make reservations to eat at the restaurants each night. The QR code was not user friendly and it was easier to call or see the concierge. Even then, on certain evening dinner reservations were not available until 9:30. My husband and I did enjoy our stay and it is a beautiful resort."

"The property was absolutely beautiful and clean. Our room was spacious and clean and the beds were very comfortable. The only thing we didn’t love was that the shower is not separated by a wall. it’s in the room, so there really isn’t much privacy. The staff was very helpful and kind. The food wasn’t the greatest. It wasn’t bad, just average but there was plenty of it. Overall we had a great stay"
