"Clean small rooms in a well-kept hostel. The staff were great especially Oscar, who greeted us heartily each time he saw us. Complimentary breakfast was tasty and filling. You can't beat the price, especially when you can walk 5 minutes to the beach."

"We enjoyed this hotel very much. Our room was very clean, beds comfortable and upgraded washroom. It had the best water pressure in all of Costa Rica in our experience from similar hotels. The breakfast was pretty mediocre and the wifi was ok. The location to the beach and the park was fantastic - literally a 3 minute walk with no hills. Would definitely recommend!"

Biggest draw back is the hotel does not provide towels for the beach. Also, you have to rent a beach umbrella and chairs each day from locals - however this seemed to be common. "

"Slow time of year, and the staff couldn't muster enough energy to scoop dead bugs, spiders, and leaves out of the pool. I believe we were the only occupants at the entire facility. People playing video games in the parking lot at night, being too loud. Hole in the ceiling of the bathroom where a fan used to be; could see clear to the roof. Inadequate blanket on bed; not suitable for sleeping under. Lock on the door gave way if you pushed on the door hard enough. I've stayed here twice...
