"Ich wollte unbedingt einmal in einem Ryokan übernachten und habe mich deshalb für diese Unterkunft entschieden. die Unterkunft an sich ist sehr schön. Die Nacht war dann doch etwas anstrengend auf dem Futon. Später hab ich mir aber einen zweiten aus dem Schrank darunter gelegt. Die Gegend würde ich als sehr ruhig beschreiben. Man muss mindestens einmal Bus und Zug fahren, um direkt nach Kyoto zu kommen. Aber dennoch kann ich sagen, ein Aufenthalt in diesem Ryokan lohnt sich durchaus."

"On our recent trip to Japan we wanted an authentic experience staying in a ryokan. We were greeted by an extremely attentive staff who whisked our luggage away to our mountain view room. We received hotel slippers and were given a tour of the hotel. Our modest room had a low table and chairs with a tea service, a private bathroom, tatami mat floor and yukata robes. We had 3 hours until dinner so we enjoyed the private onsen nestled in the forest overlooking the forest. For ¥4000 ($27) this...

"This hotel was amazing. It is old, but you feel like you are staying in a part of history. Everyone was very nice and the breakfast was amazing. We loved the true Japanese breakfast. We will stay at this hotel again when we go back to Kyoto. There is a wonderful pizza place around the corner as well. "

"Très bon accueil par les hôtes qui habitent l’immeuble. Ils parlent très bien anglais. L’emplacement est excellent pour le shopping et les restaurants. On peut se déplacer dans plusieurs lignes de train ou de bus dans un rayon de 10min de marche. On a essayé le bain qui est petit, mais très bien. Le déjeuner offert est copieux. Je le recommande pour ceux qui désirent vivre l’expérience Ryocan."

The staff are wonderful, the attention to detail is exquisite, and the pride they put into making your experience perfect is exceptional. Our only regret is that we have to leave.
