"This Race Course branch of the Chain does everything it says on the tin. Helpful staff, clean rooms, great breakfast choice. Having to fork out for parking is unwelcoming. Outside of race days whats the point.... a few miles down the road the member of the chain doesn't charge. So I go there next time. Otherwise no beefs."

"Upon checking in I checked that it was a twin room or the beds could be split as requested. The request had not been received but the staff were accommodating and changed our room for us without any problem, they were kind and considerate and gave us a large 3 sleeper room. The room was very clean, just a few dusty areas on plugs and toilet roll holder and a stained net curtain however, the floor was quite uneven which was a bit disorientating but no major complaints. "Staff very helpful. Room clean the shower had decent power. Breakfast was busy, buffet style and Luke warm. The walk into Chester City approx 15mins. Train station directly opposite the hotel. Our room had good sound proofing."

We booked a room with a 4 poster bed then on arrival were told we had a free upgrade to a 4 poster room.... Strange seeing as that's what we requested anyway. Room was at best ok. "Very friendly staff and very helpful. The rooms were lovely and clean, well-maintained and plenty of tea/coffee in the rooms! The food in the bar/restaurant was very good with plenty of choice. Breakfast was fine - could have done with more choice of pastries, vut the bacon roll was delicious!!"

"Room was nice enough but not practical ..... lighting was poor, there were no bedside cabinets, there was no dressing table, there was one easy chair and one stool (it was a double room so why not two chairs) bath/shower not guest friendly, the bath plug/drain did not drain properly which resulted in my having to stand in very hot scalding water for my shower and getting bright red feet as a result, there was no toilet brush either which is a basic hygiene matter.
