"Still the best place to stay in Poole. Shower was awesome, enough room to get a rugby union team in!!! Great location near the restaurants on the Quay and a ten minute walk from the train station. Deluxe Room was very spacious and had an iron bath in the corner!! However, mattress was too soft and the pillows too 'fluffy'. Just a personal note, but we needed hard mattresses and 'dull' pillows. "A lovely old grade 2 listed house. Excellent location for Poole Quay and harbour. Parking in visitor’s public car park just across the road. Overnight parking is very reasonable. David was a fabulous host with plenty of stories to tell and the house is full of interesting “stuff” that he has collected. Delicious breakfast cooked to order. Our room on the second floor was very small and hot, but the others are bigger. Best to ask David before you book. Would definitely stay again."

"There are not many places to stay in Wimborne. This is probably the best. Don’t expect elevators or lots of modern conveniences here. This is a 16th century hotel with narrow staircases and our room had beamed ceilings and a copper bathtub. What is great is that it is right in the won center and has enough free and secure parking so you don’t need to use a public carpark."

"The room was cleaned every day. Fresh towels were available. The staff was helpful, and could be improved. Breakfast was hot, and the food looked well-cooked. It was closer to Bournemouth International Centre and the beach. Driving to The New Forest is wonderful and a must-visit."
