I had a wonderful stay. Check in was quick and easy, the room was clean, air conditioned, the kitchen had the basic essentials with a market in walking distance and the pool was nice too. The housekeeping staff were so friendly and did a great job. Only downside is that it says there is a bar/restaurant which there is not but there are lots of delivery options. There are also no televisions in the rooms for anyone who might be looking for that. So, maybe bring games or a laptop or find local entertainment nearby. Overall, it was a great stay and I would recommend.

This hotel falsely advertised on the Expedia website. As far as their amenities, the hotel does not have a restaurant or breakfast included in your stay. Nor does it have a swim up bar or lounge. They have one permanent person that works the front desk and he only works from 8am-4pm. We wanted to go out at night & it started raining. We weren’t able to order a taxi with the concierge because no one is there after 4pm. They say that you reach them by what’s app, but no one will respond after 4pm. The water constantly kept getting shut off. They don’t use face cloths or wash cloths. You only get one dry towel.

The hotel itself is amazing the layout to the views only inconveniences were that there’s no place for your belongings no place to hang anything and no mirrors or chef/restaurant onsite this should be changed from Expedia’s website because finding out in person there’s no restaurant or chef puts a damper on anyone’s trip and pockets. The water pressure was also very low and our private pool was never cleaned other than that the hotel was aesthetically pleasing just not up to par in certain areas but I would stay again knowing what I know now the peace and tranquility I absorbed while there made up for the inconveniences. I would recommend others to stay here also it felt like Morocco in Mexico.

Es muy bonito y muy tranquilo, pero dieron toallas sucias y mejor las usé para el piso del baño donde se salía mucho el agua de la regadera. Igual con las sábanas de la cama, no las cambiaban y tenían manchas como d comida. La página dice qué tiene muchas cosas pero no es así.

My stay here was outstanding. The rooms are great and the staff is very attentive and nice. I showed up too early for me reservation and they went out the way to get me in my room at that time and not have to wait. I was also setup with other necessities like transportation and car rentals without asking. They sent me everything I needed via WhatsApp and I was off. Thank You again Eterna Tulum. Pros: super clean, new. Very friendly staff. Martha was incredible and so accommodating. She had the best tips for how to get around and which beach clubs offered the best deals. Also there are a couple of good coffee shops and restaurants within walking distance plus the Jungle Gym if you want to get a good workout while on vacation. Cons: it's a little far from the beach. You either have to pay a pricey taxi or ride a bike. (It took me 45 minutes to get to the the zona hotelera, and I consider myself in fairly good shape.)

I booked this room last minute and I fell in love with the room. The streets are really bumpy to get here and there are no street lights at night. GPS wasn’t clear on navigating to the hotel. There was no receptionist at the lobby and I kept calling even when I got inside finally I kept calling to check in and recorded a video of the receptionist phone ringing while I was calling it with my other phone until finally one of the receptionist friends who is not a staff there came down to help me access the room. I scored a sweet deal and it had its private little dip pool on the first floor with 3 glass walls from ceiling to the floor one in each room from the bedroom hallway and kitchen. The lighting when the sun starts to go down looks amazing especially at night. And in the daylight, the natural light is refreshing. however there was a problem when I started changing in the bedroom and the room above on the second floor was watching me and kept going to the window and continued doing that all night when they saw, I had the patio lights on. I was really uncomfortable because I like to have the windows open, but I felt like my privacy was invaded because even when I was dressed, they kept walking to the windows to peek. I didn’t even experience the pool because it was full of leaves and the guest that kept peeking made it really uncomfortable. (I’m not sure if it was guest or if it was the staff staying on the second floor because I know the girls kept going up and down).

Really cute place, great location and value for your money. Two things though - when it rained the water came in through our door. They came and cleaned it up, but hopefully that is remedied in the future. Second thing - one of the front desk staff was not detailed oriented and gave my refund for the security deposit to the wrong card. I caught it, but just look out for potential mistakes like that.

Très bon séjour au calme

Nous avons séjourné 3 nuits dans cet hôtel! L'hôtel est neuf, moderne et très propre , le personnel très aimable! La chambre est spacieuse, confortable et bien équipée.Attention pour certains, il n'y a pas de télévision ! Le petit déjeuner proposé du mardi au dimanche est très bon, choix de formule préparée au fur et à mesure, donc frais !!Attention pas de service de petit déjeuner le lundi !! Un peu embêtant ! Le petit déjeuner est servi sur la terrasse ! L'hôtel ne se trouve pas dans la zone hôtelière de Tulum, donc pas d'accès aux plages. L'accès à l'hôtel se fait par un chemin un peu accidenté ! Le seul mauvais point c'est la décharge juste à côté, mais qui fort heureusement n'émet pas d'odeur, ni de bruit ! Nous avons apprécié notre séjour dans cet hôtel !

Upon arrival I was greeted by Marta, who was very sweet and kind. She also helped me with my luggage up to the 3rd floor! Eterna Tulum was definitely a hidden gem~ Just beautiful! I stayed in the suite with roof top lounge pool! It was perfect and then some! The breakfast was around the corner which was delicious; cute small spot! The entire staff~( I didn’t get their :( names) was amazing during my 6 day solo adventure stay and very helpful with suggestions and recommendations! They also had bikes to rent; which I highly recommend… as it makes getting around a bit easier if you’re not renting a car or wanting to save $$$ on taxi rides for longer distances. Because of the location, it gets pretty dark~ Very little street lights… so make sure you have a flashlight or a bike light with you, I just used my phone’s flashlight. If you’re looking for a place to stay that not too far from the main street of Tulum..but close enough to walk or bike to~ this is the one! Thank you again, Marta and staff at Eterna Tulum for the amazing and wonderful hospitality! I will definitely come back to stay!

Terrible experience. We couldn’t even enter the hotel. Nobody will open the locked door for you even it’s your first time being there. Btw, No street lights within 500 meters — bring a flashlight.

2.5 - The hotel room looked pretty at first glance and we loved the aesthetic. It’s located very nicely to the downtown area which was nice. However, the little things stacked up and contributed to our low rating. We paid for a nicer room with a small pool on the rooftop, but didn’t even get to use it because they clearly don’t clean them, so it was a waste of money. The cushion covers on the rooftop were also ripped which made a seemingly luxurious experience become a waste of money. We would’ve rented a regular room. No small towels were provided, and even when we asked for some we just got more regular towels (maybe they don’t have them.) The water went off on Thursday and we didn’t receive a response about it until Sunday (thankfully it came back on before then). It’s hard to find someone at the front desk if it’s past 2pm if you need something. I will say housekeeping was there daily which was nice. Oh also, there is no shower curtain so the way the room is set up, everyone will see you showering lol. Overall the room looked nice from afar but the little details ruined it for us. Apart from location, I wouldn’t recommend staying here unfortunately.

Loved the quietness. The room was nice (no tv) the pool was small and it wasnt as close to the beach as I thought it was. The staff was helpful and my stay was pleasant.

I hate leaving bad reviews but i feel like it’s necessary. We arrived and the lady at the front desk told me my room wasnt paid for and that i owed an additional $300 which was untrue. She ended up not charging that, i paid the deposit for incidentals. The room itself was awful. I do think the other rooms might be better but dont book the 2 bed. The sheets had stains, alot of areas were dirty. Everytime you turn the shower on the bathroom floor floods, this was our last straw. The upstairs pool area does not have sun loungers as described either. Our towels also had stains as well or looked used. The man at the front desk was nice but did refuse our refund. We left early after 1 night and had a much better experience. I wouldnt recommend this place AT ALL. Also the area is a TRASH DUMP. The view from our room was bags and bags of trash.
