"Lovely apartment in a historic building, ideally located just outside the city centre, but within easy walking distance of all places of interest in York. Nice touch of leaving a bottle of bubbly in the fridge - a good sign that the hosts are attentive. The apartment itself is well furnished and equipped, and really does feel like a home from home. Overall, thoroughly recommended."

The staff were lovely and were able to accommodate giving us a lower-level room, which was so helpful (especially when pregnant in a heatwave!). "The staff were welcoming and friendly. We ate supper there the first night, but were unimpressed with the burgers and nachos. The TV in our room was damaged but if didn't stop us from the late night Tipping Point binge... The air conditioning seemed to be struggling and never got cooler than 20 degrees. "This was a great location. The staff were super helpful leadung up to check in. So easy for us to walk where we needed to. We got upgraded to the family room which turned out to be a bonus for when my partner gets up at stupid o'clock, it meant he didn't keep me awake. "As a solo female traveller I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. I arrived early and was able to leave my bag at the reception, which was then delivered to my room. The room was spacious, well decorated and clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The hotel was easy to find and is a stones throw away from the train station all the main attractions. I would stay again and recommend to friends and family."
