"We received a lovely welcome when we checked in and we were upgraded to a larger room with a waterside view. The hotel is perfectly located for the Bristol Sounds events and provides easy access to a wide range of food and drink options. We booked for bed and breakfast and we are glad we did, the buffet breakfast offered a selection of hot and cold choices and the breakfast room is delightful."

"Having paid for a reservation several months ago for two nights 24-26th June when I checked in I was told there was no room available. The receptionist claimed there was an IT issue but the hotel was very busy so clearly other people had been checked in. The apology was absolutely minimal, no compensation and no effort made to inform me in the days leading up to the reservation there was an issue. I found the whole experience highly unacceptable for a global corporation to behave letting me down...

However my fears were allayed, as there was two separate sleeping areas, a wardrobe/changing area and bathroom. Great for a family of four. Breakfast was good too! "Central location close to the Beacon, markets, restaurants and other food outlets, and pubs. Enclosed yard with tables and seating. Soft but comfortable bed. Quite tight bedroom and bathroom but OK. Great breakfast options. Just a little noisy into the early hours but England had just won at football!"

"I stayed one night and selected the hotel based on its proximity to the train station. It was an excellent choice for that, although there is some road construction going on directly around it which made rolling one’s bag a little more difficult than it would normally be. The hotel is a little “tired” but very clean well maintained. Good bed and very decent bar/restaurant. "Excellent location for both bus and train journeys. Both run regularly from Temple Meads railway station which is just across the road. There is also a ferry service which runs from behind the station. Unfortunately there are too many steep steps down to the wharf for anyone with mobility issues."
