Coffee at breakfast has to be black with milk unless paying extra for cappuccino or latte etc .

"It's fine. I wouldn't call it 4 star. Simply because the bathroom needs to be updated. The TV has no sports channels which is strange when The Open is being played down the street. Scottish open being played just hours north of us. For 4 stars I don't expect to shower in a tub unless I requested to."

"There was only one aspect to fault, and that was the breakfast. It's a buffet style so the cooked food was in heated containers. Therein lies the problem, the chunks of fried potatoes we not really cooked enough and only warm, the bacon had been sitting there to long and was tough, the knives supplied were not sharp enough to cut it up, it had to be torn apart. "Nice property, well maintained. Very convenient as it was right next to Lime Street Railroad station. Unfortunately the room was an oven. With temperatures running in the mid-80's, it was HOT. No A/C, and the window only opens an inch. Not enough fresh air getting in the room. We spent a hot night with a loud fan running. Not a pleasant stay. Lodging in this part of the world needs to get into the 21st century and get some level of temperature control."

"Stayed one night for the Lytham Festival recently.
Check in was smooth, hosts very friendly.
Quirky little place with a nice vibe.
Rooms are good, but can see its probably time for a bit of an update and maintenance as feel a little outdated. Bed was very very soft and me and my husband rolled together as there wasnt too much support in the mattress, but we still had a decent nights sleep.
Breakfast was mega though, plentiful and very tasty!
Would use again, and would recommend for a trip to...

"I specifically booked a Superior Room, 1 King Bed, with Sofabed our visit however was given a double with just a sofa, no sofa bed. I clearly wasn't given the room I booked.
Queried this with reception on departure first thing in the morning after an uncomfortable night on a single z bed, was told by reception there's nothing they can do. Poor customer service.
