"Staff was very friendly and helpful. Parking was safe. Pool was clean and warm. Water dispenser was broken. Beds were clean and comfortable. The property was well kept and absolutely beautiful at dusk when the outside lights turn on. Feels like you're not even in the city. (Except we heard gunshots at about 2:45am) There's no fridge or microwave in rooms which was a bummer but they did have an ice machine. Overall great stay and will probably be returning someday."

"It’s essentially a motel and you get exactly what you pay for. It’s well situated in the city. I stayed on one of those weeks where there was a convention and my usual hotels are ridiculously expensive, Symphony was exactly what the doctor ordered. On a weekend with overpriced hotel rooms I would stay here again. Clean. Safe. Affordable all the time."

"The Grove Inn was great for a quick trip into San Francisco. Close enough to the area. Be mindful it is San Francisco and the streets are definitely full of hilss. If you can walk, everything is close enough. If you can't, Ubers are always available. The hotel itself was clean and secure with the charm of the Victorian Homes that are known for the area. "Great stay across from the Civic Center. Small room, but classy. The light switch took a bit to figure out (fast click vs long click for all features). Nice view on upper floor (paid extra for that). Near skid row... Count on nearby parking for $40/night... street parking is nearly impossible, even with handicap tag. Breakfast is minimal... suggest eating out. Price was right, though."

"My room was quaint and I found it at a decent rate for a holiday weekend! The area felt safe and very accessible for ride shares for pickup. Randy at front desk was super helpful with my needs. Hotel was clean and perfect for my staycation. Room had no AC but there was a ceiling fan which was perfectly fine for me.
