"Lovely New Forest pub. Very friendly atmosphere. Large clean room, comfy bed, modern bathroom. Very quiet at night. Big breakfast, varied evening meals and excellent beer. New Forest ponies on the green and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's grave two minutes up the road! Excellent value. Really enjoyed our stay, thanks."

"The rooms were so hot couldn’t be helped in this heat but couldn’t sleep art all , gave us a fan but it wasn’t much good , breakfast was ok but on the first morning run out of orange juice and coffee machine wasn’t working that well . On the Saturday there was a wedding party music was loud into the night nobody told us in advance"

The Bathrooms look and feel modern and have a high standard of fixtures and fittings. "Pleasant indoor and outdoor spaces, room 3 in attic ,not suitable for above average height (low beams) not mentioned when booking. no biscuits, water or remote for TV and no fan provided during heatwave.Food purchased was of a poor standard and overpriced. Found staff to be very inexperienced."

"Oak Tree Rooms was an excellent base for our New Forest weekend. I think the only drawback was the other people staying - they did like a loud conversation through a locked door, which was quite annoying! Other than that, the rooms were very comfortable indeed."

"Absolutely lovely oasis of tranquility in the New Forest. We took our small dog and everything was catered for from bowls and towels in the room to a washing station and poo bags. Staff were amazing, busy but always helpful and chatty. Food was top notch, as were the cocktails and a lovely breakfast. Can’t fault it, oh and there was air con in the room……. Thank god!"

"A great hotel in lovely setting , we have been coming here for short breaks for 20 years . Staff are always super helpful and facilities are great . Breakfast not as good as it used to be with only buffet option , should re- introduce the no charge al a carte menu for those who don’t enjoy buffet.
