"We loved how close the hotel was to the beach, our favorite restaurants, bars, and shopping. We were celebrating our anniversary, but we saw several families enjoying the site and amenities. Guest services were very helpful with fast responses to our inquiries. Overall, a great stay!"

"This is by far our favorite place to stay. The room is spacious, has 2 full restrooms, offers privacy, big comfortable beds, fresh AC, double TV’s, refrigerator and microwave. The TV volume is very low but not an issue. I usually try to book at this property before any other hotel. The location is perfect and within proximity of the places we visit the most which is so convenient."

"We stay at the Tamarack 2-3 times a year We reserve an ocean view and love it Since we live in AZ we always go to Carlsbad for our ocean fix. We have tried other hotels but nothing beats the Tamarack It’s centrally located so we don’t even need the car. We will continue to stay at the Tamarack anytime we go to Carlsbad"

"We stayed a single night with our 4 sons (10, 18, 19, 21) and had a great time! We were able to walk to local shops, restaurants, and the beach. Having free access to their beach equipment (surfboards, boogie boards, beach towels), outdoor showers, putput golf, free parking were amenities that set them apart from the rest! While breakfast was very basic, we do plan to stay there again in the future because of its convenient location and being walkable to anything you might need."
